If you Respond to Spam Emails Requesting your Name to be Removed, Think Again
When you receive suspicious or spam emails that you do not want to receive, refrain from emailing the sender telling them you want to be taken off their lists. Many times, this will increase the amount of emails you receive from that spam account because they know that you are an actual person behind your email address.
If you respond, they know that they have a legitimate email address they can use, share with others or even sell. The best course of action is to never open these emails and delete them immediately. If it is an email that contains pornography or illegal material, alert your security team immediately.
